Bra cleaning tips

Females need to keep ALL underwear clean and it's probably easiest to forget to keep track of how clean bras are; more so than any other kinds of lingerie. Particularly when they're not light-coloured. A lot of women also find bras tiresome to clean or wash especially when they're underwired bras. Here are a few tips:

1. Never wash bras with any kind of underwiring or bones in the washing machine. Not even if you're using a lingerie bag. Lingerie bags aren't always successful in protecting bras from getting misshapen in the machine. Don't risk it.

2. Instead, soak it in cold/cool water.

3. Minimize friction and rubbing by using soapy water instead of applying soap directly to the bra.

4. Use cold/cool water to avoid degrading the fabric quickly.

5. Dry bras on as flat a surface as possible rather than using pegs or hanging them on extremely hot heaters for example. Also, never use a dryer.

6. If you must hang them up, don't use pegs as they could distort the shape of your underwire.

7. Don't twist bras too tight when squeezing out the water after washing. Where the bra is underwired specifically, don't bend the bones over too far.

8. Be sure to use a mild detergent.
